The Hottest Destinations on Instagram

Why do we keep having déjà vu on social media?

It seems like most travel bloggers nowadays have copy-paste Instagram accounts which all resemble one another.

Are we running out of places to travel on this small planet of ours or are there simply certain destinations which are so photogenic that anyone with a camera which isn’t connected to a smartphone just must go visit for the perfect picture?

If you’re curious, take a look at which destinations we are referring to (you’ve likely seen these recurring on your social media feeds more than is statistically reasonable):

1. The Grand Canyon (of course we’ll start with a popular natural wonder)

2. Machu Picchu – because it seems like every person on Facebook has hiked here.

After the long, intense, brutal, rewarding 5 day hike I finally arrived at Machu Picchu!😁 Breath-taking views all along the way (I'm sure you've seen a few of my photo's). 😵 Full of tourists but when you arrive you can see why! My friend Meg who I met along the way was literally in tears because of how beautiful this place is! 😭 Fun fact: The city of Cusco at 3399m has a higher altitude than Machu Picchu at 2430m. CRAZY.😵 How would you describe Machu Picchu?
