If you’re lucky enough to have many vacations, you’ll need to learn to stay active
A vacation can set you back on your healthy eating and physical activity very quickly if you don’t remind yourself that your body isn’t “on hold” during vacation mode.
Indulging in local culinary delights is a must when travelling – after all, it’s part of the experience!
However, portion control is key, and the extra calories should be at least balanced out with some physical activity.
Here are some tips:
Go up and down the stairwell at your hotel for 20 minutes in the morning or evening to work some large muscles and get your heartrate up.
If the option is available, try to rent some bikes for sightseeing instead of riding a bus or car around town.
You can easily do a quit HIIT workout in your hotel room – without any equipment! Try to combine burpees, pushups, squat jumps,
planks and mountain-climbers.
Check online to see if there are any nearby yoga studios that offer one-time entrance.
Remember, the longer you’ve been off track with your workouts, the harder it will be to get back into the routine!
